The Unemployability Conjecture
(Economics Note 3)
|
It is in the evolutionary nature of man that he is always be able to carry some segment of population which can not be 'meritably employed' -that is 'drone/burden overpopulation', in effect, of his basic, 'evolutionary-organism labor/requirements' and
a 'sink', consequently, on the life-style-and-quality of the continuing organism.

The importance of the conjecture (below) cannot be overemphasized in that ministering to employment (nature and constitution) is a major part of every government/economy. The fact is however, that employment per_se does little for
that 'health' if related 'goods and services' are not in some very pertinent way qualified by impact upon the future material and intellectual substance of that government/economy -and that, with respect to others of the world. The issue
then, is one of 'merit' in 'the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services' -of the validities of those present-day elements more specifically, for their impacts on the future life-style-and-quality of the constituency.
There are three considerations in the 'proof' of this conjecture -the first, proof/axiomatic in of itself, the other two providing critical, quantitative aspects.
1 - In that 'what of the human phenomenon and things human is or is not of merit(*1) cannot be known without some appropriate statisticality', some 'production, distribution and consumption of goods and services' is inevitably to
be found 'having been without merit' -even if 'only circumstantially so'.
2 - The rate at which mankind is 'best able to invest his configuration space'(*2), is limited by the purely physical/physical-law processes underlying his genetics and their operational consequents.
-which say, in effect, that for every 'optimal population meritably employed', there is also 'some optimal, essentially unemployed population of potential such sustaining relationship' -the whole, dynamic and only heuristically determinable
thruout.
(*4 -CLASSICAL EVOLUTIONARY PROCESS)
3 - There are typically three successive and overlapping inhabitational stages attaching a 'new organism surviving into an econiche' -diasporative: that of the new organism proliferating into some 'essentially new' econiche-whole
dynamic; saturative: the organism overpopulating what the econiche can support of it, and -organism population receding, consequently- stable: manifesting 'the dynamic stability of classical, econiche biologies'.
[The whole of life-form evolution is identifiable, in general, as a succession of such invasions and die-offs, thus (inspite of overlapping evolutionary processes) the 'classical, econiche biology' of invertebrates 'before' the appearance of
vertebrates was just a precedent to that of 'merely warm-blooded cerebrating vertebrates' (perhaps thru prosimians) before the appearance of 'eventually deliberating hominids'.]
-What these three translate to is that 'the more reliably this new-human-organism process is understood -and governed, consequently- the less likely are the consequences of diasporation and saturation to be pejorative to eventually stable
life-style-and-quality' -and be too late found having been so.
For a mankind at a 'still only diasporative stage of evolution' then, what this means is that 'the determination of optimal populations of meritable and/or potential employment' depends entirely upon validities in 'the production, distribution and
consumption of goods and services' -of occupation, in effect, consonant the nature and course of human evolution(*3).
There is a relatively fixed mental-and-physical rate-per-human-mass at which any particular constituency can progress, and this in turn depends entirely upon the intellectual development of the constituency and its expression of that
with respect to economic potentials of its resource/environment -a measure, in effect, of its civilization. 'Creating meritable occupation', consequently, depends upon (a) 'what population the resource/environment can bear', (b) what
life-style-and-quality the constituency-whole may knowledgeably expect and pass on to the progeny-whole and (c) what occupations -labor, research and education- can be supported given that 'relatively fixed mental-and-physical rate at which any
particular constituency can progress'. -Thus-
(*5)
The Unemployability Conjecture
- It is neither 'mentally' nor physiologically possible for science and technology, government or any other agency or combination to generate, arbitrarily, either employment or 'idlemind occupation' -especially
'meritable', for everyone in overpopulation of what actual labor is required to sustain him. (-from Arms Reduction and Global Reconstruction)
[We are told -and 'primitively' believe, that 'The economy has to grow', and we believe, consequently, in an achievable 'full employment'. But 'sustainable resource use' tells us (the resource/environment is not bottomless) that only 'so many' can
ultimately be 'sustained' -and, heuristically, only 'so many' of 'best well-being and viability' are implicit and therefore inevitable of genetic imperative -the rest superfluous. Nor is it a harmless superfluity: what 'excess' we carry in
diasporation works 'naturally' into a saturative drone/burden overpopulation of (one degree or another) degraded or depleted resource/environment -of, consequently, diminished life-style-and-quality potential to the continuing organism-whole.(See
Breakdown.)]
The importance of this 'conjecture' cannot be overemphasized. Thruout the world, people are -quite 'naturally', being educated to such levels of higher intellectual capability as will, in fact, be increasingly unemployable with (increasingly) 'effective
overpopulation'. And 'innocent and ignorant'ly so in that not having been educated to the reality of this conjecture, to the etiology of the situation, most will find it 'unacceptable' (many do already) to do work (let alone find it) beneath their
'intellectual capability'. Our education is, in fact, inadequate in that it is not that of 'a mankind attuned to the nature and course of hominid evolution under inevitable sustainable resource use', but one, rather, of an essentially still
pecking-ordered hominid diasporating into his whole-earth/econiche.
